Chapter 14 CynthiaRoan flew off me and slammed into the wall. I only got a glimpse of Hart’s face before he turned to where Roan was already picking himself up. As per usual, Hart looked as warm and fuzzy as an ice cube. I hugged my legs to my chest in a sad attempt to hide my boobs, then realized my shirt was only a couple of feet away and grabbed it, but it was just an oversized rag now. Still, I covered myself with it. Hart lifted Roan by the neck. With one hand. Vampires. Damn vampires with their super strength. But Roan was a vampire, too. Why wasn’t he fighting back? At all. “You will leave now,” Hart hissed into Roan’s face and tossed him into the shadows. The darkness wrapped around Roan and sucked him in, leaving me and Hart alone.
