With droopy eyelids, I had my face glued to the floor. The service finally ended, though I hadn't heard a thing throughout the entire church service.  We all rose to our feet and Ava had a gloomy look directed at me. The way her Chestnut eyes flickered with worry made me feel more terrible.  I tried to make up a smile for her and patted her head. "I'm okay, don't feel sad for me." "Why not? You look terrible." She insisted.  I let out a bitter laugh, taking her hand in mine. "Let's get going now, I only need to rest."  "He's not worth it."
