I laughed. "This is a joke, right?"
"Is this chick out of her mind? He's obviously saying it right in your face. Why are you still in doubt?" The first guy said, shaking his head.
Jax wore a frigid face again, glaring at me. "You still believe me?" He scoffed, glancing at my tied hands. "I only needed to bring you here, nothing else."
"Yeah." The second dude said, "Snake, you'd get started with the elimination stage soon, right?"
"Yeah, sure." He returned his eyes to my face.
I tried to read through the darkness in his frost eyes but all I could read was fury shimmering in them.
I was still finding it hard to believe this. There was no way Jax could've used me, just to bring me here, I wasn't believing that. "So you tricked me, twice?" I chortled, biting my lower lip.
