The ambulance finally arrived then Mom was taken into it and laid horizontally on a stretcher. I also got into the ambulance, holding her hand really tight.
"She'll be fine." A nurse assured me but I didn't bother to listen to her. My hands quivered in fear and my heart throbbed faster than the beat to the world's fastest music.
Mom couldn't die, I was going to die if she did. Why in the world hadn't she been careful enough?
A headache had formed at the back of my head and my facial muscles tightened. I still gripped onto her arm, hoping she was going to wake up already. I hated getting worried over someone I cared about.
