I wore my jacket over my body. After confirming everything I needed was arranged in my bag, I hung its shoulder straps over my shoulder.  I was all set for school— Jeez, I had to have breakfast first.  I got out of my room and strolled down the stairs.  Jax was lying on one of the sofas in the living room, shirtless, with his bag and shoes scattered on the floor. He was typing on his phone, not looking like he was ready to get up for school. Such an irresponsible student.  Like I had been doing for the past few days, I ignored his presence and sauntered to the dining table. There was nothing on the table that I could eat.
