I looked at the pictures just to see two officers in uniform.
“This is Bob Cartwright and this is Trevor Cartwright, his son. Both police officers at Edmonds Police Department, Seattle. Miss Hunts' mother died when she was 15 and ever since she has lived with her stepfather (who got full custody over her) and her stepbrother.”, Stefano immediately explained to me.
“Any records of them?”, I asked.
“No records. They are clean.”
“As well as Isabella´s”, I mumbled. I threw the files on the desk.
“How is it possible that a young woman, a teenager, has got no friends and is nowhere to find, neither on social media nor other official sources? That stinks to heaven.”, I burst out.
Somehow, I didn’t have a good feeling. I´ve never seen such empty and clean files before in my
