The next morning, Sue sat at her desk putting together the paperwork for a large machine shop her firm was listing. She picked up her cell and checked to see if Jeff's number had been saved; it had. She looked at her watch and fudged. It was early yet, maybe too early. She set the phone down and studied the contract; ten o'clock would be a good time. At ten, Helen came by with two cups of coffee. They sat and chatted. Helen had had a shitty morning and Sue made all the correct clucking and cooing sounds of commissary.
