Sue felt the cold wind swirl about her thighs and with a start, realized she was standing half-naked on her porch in full view of the neighborhood. To think of it as a pivotal moment in her day was laughable. She looked up and down the street but thankfully, most of her neighbors were at work. She took one last look at the truck; Jeff held a rag to his face with one hand and seemed to be searching for his keys with the other. Sue stepped back into her house and slammed the door. When the door slammed behind, Sue slumped to the floor and fought the burn in her eyes.
