Sue looked over at Danny's small desk with her laptop perched on top and could imagine the young student sitting there 'till all hours of the night; her medical texts and papers around her; fighting exhaustion to get through the next day's required reading. Sue couldn’t help but feel a little sad at the thought of her here, living alone. Amazingly it was the sound of a bird that brought her around; put a smile back on her lips. It was a pigeon. “What's that?” Sue heard the bird cooing quietly, but persistently and, turning in her seat, saw it strutting back and forth like a wind-up toy on Danny's window sill. “Oh that's Miss Prudence!” Danny sounded gleeful.
