Henri, Jesse and I went back into the main hall to find our seats. There were round tables set up for dinner all around the room with chairs set up near the stage for the auction.
Somehow, I ended up sitting at the same table with Henri and Jesse. I felt so out of place here. The only business sense I had, came from my dad when he was discussing it in passing.
God Dinah was out of my f*****g league. She was intelligent and damn f*****g brilliant and here she was giving me the time of day. She worries about me not wanting her, but the real problem is her realizing she’s too good for me.
I think Henri still has feelings for Dinah the way he’s been staring me down this entire time. He’d be a fool not to, she’s amazing. And this f*****g Jesse, I’m not sure if I’m being paran
