Chapter 15 Laura pulled on an old Wolf Branch high school sweatshirt when she got out of her car, wondering why she hadn’t noticed before how aged and frayed the shirt was. The gray had faded to almost white, and the formerly tight-knit cuffs around her wrists were loose and misshapen. Not exactly the most flattering thing she owned, not by a long shot. But it was the only warm thing hanging by the front door that she could grab on her way out. She didn’t care nearly as much about flattering as she had a few hours ago, getting ready for dinner.
