Chapter 14
Jojo surfaced above the clear blue aquamarine waters. Turquoise waters lay ahead, and behind him, the multicolored bangka boat remained anchored, its two booms balancing the rectangular hollowed out boat on the water. Larger than most of the stout boats, it held the seven of them and scuba gear with ease.
Pete and Roger circled in the clear water below him, and Adam was in the middle. They had sighted a whale shark earlier and Jojo took plenty of photos. Adam was so distracted by the coral reefs that he almost missed the whale shark. Jizelle, Sheila, Francesca, and Lucinda were snorkeling closer to shore.
The afternoon sun beat down, and Jojo counted his blessings he was in the water. Manny sat in the boat, fanning himself. The boat captain and his helper chatted with Manny,
