Jojo hoped that when he got home there’d be peace and quiet. However, when they pulled up to the porte cochere, a police vehicle was waiting on the side. For the next two hours, Tiny and Jojo spoke to two police officers, while Janeth plied them with coffee, and her cassava cake made with the right amount of sugar, condensed milk, and coconut.
