Chapter 10
For the next several weeks, Jojo avoided his parents as much as possible by staying at Tiny’s apartment in Bonifacio Global City. The new district created out of the former Philippine army camp touted itself as a financial and lifestyle district. It had plenty of shops, fast food, and table service restaurants, so Jojo didn’t have to cook when Adam didn’t stay over.
For the first time in a long time, Jojo did his own grocery shopping. It was a short walk from the grocery store to the apartment. Sometimes Tiny would invite himself to join Jojo in the grocery shopping. Unfortunately, Tiny insisted on talking to everyone along the way. Tiny seemed to know everyone in the area. And, if the guy appeared remotely good looking, a short shopping trip became a long shopping excursion.
