Arla stood up abruptly, knocking her chair over, and causing it to tumble backwards, landing with a loud thud on the floor. But she wasn’t paying attention to any of it… She was busy brainstorming, she needed to think… Her mind was spinning, her thoughts racing nonstop as she paced the room, muttering the words under her breath like a mantra. “A tether tied to their soul… a tether…” She kept repeating this over and over again as if she was trying to wring answers from the air. But no help was forthcoming from anywhere. What could possibly serve as a tether for Enya? She muttered under her breath, tugging her fingers through her hair that was now disheveled from the stress.
