Grrr…grrr…grrr… My phone buzzed nonstop. I was in the kitchen, doing the dishes. My hands were still wet, so I carefully placed the plates back into the wash water, grabbed a dry towel hanging nearby and dried my hands. I pulled up my phone from my backpocket, Who's calling? I checked the caller ID, and Saphire's number popped up on the screen. I stared at her name on the screen for a few seconds longer before pressing accept. "Hello?" I answered cautiously, not entirely sure what to expect. This number hasn't rung on my phone in years, I've even forgotten I still have her number. We hadn’t spoken in any meaningful way since everything between us fell apart.
