“Almost let the mother live, did you?” Isabel's shrill voice was laced with a cruel edge, and the words stung like a slap to her face. Arla flinched slightly. How did she know? Was it Lira ?...or were they watched the entire time? “Have you forgotten your place, Arla? You wanted to break my rules?” Isabel’s back was turned to her now, her eyes fixated on the boiling cauldron in the center of the room. They were in the veil room.
