~Venus~
Hey lady wake up” my eyes flung open when I felt someone touch my skin. They carried me out of the car and I was standing in front of a gigantic edifice. My body was shaking like a leaf. What was next for me. Was this my end? I wondered.
Ripping the tape off my mouth and loosing the rope, they made it possible for me to be able to breath.
“where am I ?” I asked to no one in particular.
“We are at the boss's mansion”
Ludwig answered.
Suddenly, I remembered, Ludwig saying he worked for dangerous people. People who could kill me in second and won't break a sweat.
Just then my heart began beating rapidly. Glancing around the environment, there was not a single building in sight. His house was isolated. They could kill me, and it'll be like nothing ever happened.
They escorted me into the house and my eyes went wide in shock. It felt like I had just stepped into a palace.
The place I was in had white and gold cushions. The ceilings were high rise and the Chandler was Gold in color.
It illuminated the whole place as the floor was like a mirror. I could literally see myself. As I sat waiting, the air conditioning made me dry and light but my heart wasn’t same. I worried for my grandpa. I wondered how he was doing.
My worries didn’t let me notice that I too was in a more dangerous position. I had been tied and gagged and taken to a place I know nothing about. Maybe it was my situation that needed worrying.
Few minutes later, these men held me up and took me into a room. This time it was darker than the one I had been in.
There was only a flickering bulb hung above me.
“Venus Diaz.” I heard a familiar voice. His tone very menacing.
Suddenly, Ludwig stepped front and out of the shadows.
He wore a sick grin on his face, the type he had the night I borrowed money.
“Please don't kill. Please!” I pleaded, my voice well strained.
“Oh but you see I can't do that. You know my boss’ location already, if I let you leave then you can become a real problem for us.”
Ludwig spoke in a soft yet dangerous tone.
“I promise I won't… I won't tell anyone.”
“I can't believe that unfortunately. So here's how it's going to be.
If you give us back our money now then you remain silent about this then we won't kill you… “
“But sir. I don't have the rest. But I'll pay once I do I promise.”
I continued to plead.
Ludwig then chuckled under his breath. “I'm sorry Venus, that won't work.”
Suddenly, Ludwig pulled out a gun and pointed it at me.
My heart skipped a beat. “Please dont!!” I screamed in fear.
I couldn't die now. Not just for myself. Grannie needs me.
I can't just die like this.
“Where's the money?” Ludwig asked again, his voice much more stern.
I remained silent. I couldn't even find the words to answer him.
No matter I say, it can't change anything. I don't have the money and now I was going die.
“No answer.”
Ludwig clicked the gun right in face, his hands ready to squeeze the trigger.
“Stop!”
Suddenly I heard a stern voice. Ludwig suddenly stopped still keeping the gun right in my face.
Just then, a figure walked out of the shadows and slowly walked up to me.
With every step he took, my poor heart felt it. He stood in front of me and I flinched. He had an intimidating look on his face but out of a nowhere he opened his mouth and chinned up.
But if I was in another situation, I would say he was the most handsome man I've ever seen.
“What boss?” Ludwig asked.
Boss? He's the boss!
“Give me a moment with her please.” the man answered.
“But…”
“NOW” the man ordered Ludwig.
I breath a light sigh of relief as Ludwig finally pulled away his gun from my face and then walked out of the room.
The man then turned back to me, his expression cold.
“Venus Diaz.” he whispered my name under his breath.
“There's something about you, that's just different from other girls. If it is was any other person in that chair they'll be dead already.” the man continued
“You are owing quite a lot of money, Venus. But, I can make your debt go away like this.” he said snapping his fingers.
“Really? That would be kind of you sir.” I said, a feint smile grew on my face.
“But you'll have to do one thing for me.” he said his tone very mischievous.
“What is that?” I was even afraid to ask.
“You must marry me Venus.”
“What?!” that was the only word that made it out of my mouth. My heart stopped beating but somehow how I was breathing. It felt like I had just been handed my life sentence. For the next 30 seconds, I sat immobile but the moment I got my self.
“M-Marry you? I'm sorry sir I can't. No offense but I barely know you. I can't just marry a stranger.”
“Your speaking like you even have a choice.” The man answered his voice cold.
“It's either this, or I let Ludwig back in so he can put that bullet through through your skull.”
My heart starting pounding even more louder than before.
I never knew a human being could be so heartless.
“Think about your grannie, whose going to pay her bills.
You can't pay it if your dead, can you?”
As he mentioned my grannie, my world came crumbling.
If I don’t say yes, grannie would be just as dead as me. I looked up at him. At that point I felt utterly helpless.
“Venus remember you don’t have to worry about the debt, or the hospital bills for your grandpa. I will have that settled. All you need to do is marry me.”
“Okay. I’ll do it” I said in a small voice.
“Good, because the wedding is tomorrow by 9am. Dont be late.” he said before walking out, but before leaving the room he suddenly stopped again.
“Oh how rude of me, I haven't introduced myself to my future wife.
It's Matteo Inzaghi!”
