~Meredith POV~
“Excuse me, Mrs. Brooks is it?” she looked at me with a weary smile as if debating if she would like my next words.
“Yes Miss. Meredith what can I do for you?” she said not looking directly at me.
“Umm, yes ma’am. I seemed to have made a rather accidental water mess last night when I fell asleep in the tub.” looking at the hamper in my hands.
“Uh uh.” was all she mustered as she looked at me from the side of her eyes.
“Well, yes ma’am. I was wondering where the laundry room was so I could wash them? I did not want them to sit too much longer and start to smell like mildew.” still feeling a little uneasy, I smiled at her genuinely while waiting for her to answer.
