It had been almost a year since Xander’s run-in with Meredith. He loved her more today than he did a year ago. Xander never thought he would love someone as much as he loves her. Seeing Meredith everyday made his heart and life full.
He still had not slept with her. Instead, they lay together in sleep wrapped in each other's arms. They found intimacy in other ways and it made them closer to each other. They had a respect for one another that no one could ever touch. She was his world and he loved how it turned.
Xander walked with John down the corridor of the building as they left their third meeting of day. Lost in deep thought he took in a breath, then let it out. Finding the courage to confront his life long best friend.
“John today’s the day.” he told his best friend
