Donny could guarantee that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, without a doubt, and was recognized as the number one beauty teacher in the entire Seventh High School!
"You..." Sylvia was clearly angry, and seeing the culprit appear only made her pretty face flush with anger: "You still have the nerve to show up? You've caused big trouble this time!"
Donny lowered his head, not daring to respond, like a child who had done something wrong. He could be arrogant in front of anyone, but he dared not act rashly in front of Ms. Foster, not even a little, because apart from his parents, she was the only person he respected.
"Donny, you heard what Mr. Sullivan just said, right?" Sylvia calmed her inner anger, raised her delicate, jade-like hands, and gently rubbed her head. She knew Donny's family background was not good and was aware of the disdain and grievances he faced at school. Perhaps out of pity, Sylvia had always liked Donny as a student and cared about him.
"Yes." Donny nodded, still not daring to look at Sylvia.
"The school is going to expel you now. What do you plan to do? Are you worthy of your parents? Are you worthy of your teachers?" Sylvia said, frustrated.
"What else can I do? Do I have to continue enduring such humiliation?" After a long silence, Donny said softly, "I didn't do anything wrong. I was just defending my own dignity!" His hand clenched tightly behind his back. If the school were to expel him, it would be a disaster for him and his family. Thinking of his parents' weathered and hardworking faces, his heart twisted with pain.
But Donny did not regret it. If given another chance, he would still strike hard like he did last night!
Hearing Donny's words, Sylvia was slightly stunned, her delicate shoulders trembled, as if a chord in her heart had been touched. Her eyes, deep and reflective like autumn waters, softened, and she sighed, "Yes, you indeed did nothing wrong." Suddenly, Sylvia felt that something had changed in this student before her, especially those eyes, sharp and bright, as if they had a kind of magic, sharp and piercing, yet as vast and captivating as the ocean.
"There's something you don't know. Mr. Sullivan is Felix's uncle." Sylvia said.
Donny's heart skipped a beat, and he couldn't help but smirk to himself. So there was indeed a connection. He had been wondering why Mr. Sullivan's attitude was so firm. It was really Felix's fault, and at most, Donny was just defending himself. It shouldn't have escalated to the point of expulsion.
With a sigh of concern, Ms. Foster looked at Donny, a hint of care in her eyes, "I heard last night was quite serious. Are you hurt anywhere?" Donny's face was clear and unmarked, showing no signs of a fight, which puzzled Ms. Foster, as she knew Donny had faced several of Felix's people alone last night.
At this moment, Ms. Foster was still concerned about his injuries, which touched Donny deeply. He let out a soft chuckle and said, "Just some superficial wounds on my body, covered by clothes, so you can't see them. But don't worry, Ms. Foster, it's nothing serious. I'll be fine in a couple of days." Donny was evasive; he couldn't exactly share the miraculous experience he'd had.
"As long as you're okay." Ms. Foster nodded, visibly relieved. Then, she pondered for a moment, seemingly lost in thought, before gritting her teeth and saying, "You go to class first. I'll handle this matter. Rest assured, I won't let you be expelled!" She felt helpless. Had she just fallen out with her family, and now she had to use her family's connections so soon? But for this poor student in front of her, she was willing to go against her principles.
Donny was a bit surprised but nodded and turned to go. At the door, he stopped and said, "Ms. Foster, you don't have to worry about this. I'll handle it myself. Please don't humble yourself to beg Mr. Sullivan or the school leaders. Don't worry, I won't let myself get expelled, if only to spare my parents the heartache." Donny was afraid Ms. Foster would suffer on his behalf and even more afraid she would be taken advantage of.
Back in class, Donny kept a low profile as usual. Somehow, the incident at the school gate last night quickly spread among his classmates. Rumors about Donny sending Felix to the hospital were blown out of proportion, and suddenly, everyone started looking at Donny differently.
