When I followed Luke to the gate of the palace, I realized that what he called "a little thing" actually had been quite a big deal.
There were some unfriendly-looking people standing in front of Pack, and a little further inside I saw Isabelle and Leo, who were standing in front of the crowd of people, confronting them.
Isabelle noticed the two of us first and quickly beckoned to Luke: "If you don't come soon, your pack will be finished."
The unsurprisingly gloating tone made Luke's face darken considerably. He wasn't in the best of moods considering that he had just had his opportunity for nestling between his mate's legs interrupted yet again.
