The World is not as Ugly nor Beautiful as You Think

Inner (part 2)

Silence.

Everything looks dark.

Alfi”s body is flying in the lake.

Kiki is there staring at him with his devilish eyes.

“Look at how pathetic you are. Can”t swim eh?” Kiki asked underestimating Alfi. “If that so, I will have to kill you right away!” Kiki exclaimed creating 9 clones of him surrounding Alfi.

Kiki then rams Alfi so hard followed by his clones. They ram Alfi mercilessly with no mercy.

Alfi is being bounced everywhere. Alfi feels burned even though the water is chilling. Alfi feels frightened because he was drowned by his friends.

"Why does everyone hate me? Do I not deserve to live in this world?" Alfi asked himself sad.

Alfi then recalls one of his pathetic memories.

It happened when he was in primary school.

Alfi was a cheerful boy. He always smiled and laughed every time even though no one wanted to befriend him since Alfi was different, Alfi was fat and he had tanned skin.

His classmates always behaved friendly to him just in the exam and frankly, Alfi gave them the answers. But, when his classmates were playing soccer, Alfi was only able to watch them through the window of his classroom. Alfi did ask them to let him play but they always responded: "I”m sorry, we don”t need any player."

And plainly Alfi said: "O...Ok, maybe next time."

But, sometimes they let him play with them. But, every time Alfi played, the result was always 0-0.

How?

It”s because they just wanted to kick the ball to Alfi”s head and say the spell: "Oh, I”m sorry, I didn't do it on purpose." to him. Alfi never felt upset nor cry, because he used to it. He didn't care about the pain, as long as he can play with his friends, it”s Ok for him.

But, the worst one happened in the swimming class.

Alfi loved this class. Even though he couldn't swim, but he enjoyed playing in the pool as if he played in the bathtub.

After class ended, the students and teacher left the pool and hurried to the bus (yeah, most schools in Indonesia go to a public swimming pool for swimming class. Sad eh?)

Alfi had packed his belongings and ready to go to the bus, but one of his classmates walked towards him and said. “Hey fi, let”s play!”

“Shouldn”t we go to the bus?” Alfi asked plainly.

“Geez, it won”t take too much time! I just found a good pool to swim! Rio and Evan are waiting for us!” He persuaded Alfi.

Alfi then agreed. Alfi felt happy knowing someone his age wants to play with him.

They both went somewhere near the Gym. They saw a vast lake. The water was really clear that Alfi could see his shadow on it.

“So wonderful,” Alfi said impressed.

“Hey Alfi, take off your clothes already! Let”s swim!” He said.

“Are you sure? It looks so deep. I can”t swim, remember?” Alfi said afraid.

“Don”t worry, Anton, Rio, and I are good swimmers! We will help you if something happens.” Evan added.

“Oh, alright, here I come!” Alfi said taking off his clothes and doing cannonball to the lake.

When his body dived into the lake, he realized that the lake was deep. Alfi tried to swim to the surface and yelled. “Help!! Help!!”

Alfi yelled in a panic asking for help hoping his friends would help him immediately. But, the three didn’t help him, they just laughed at him instead.

“What a moron, why the hell are you swimming there anyway?” Anton said.

“He looks so happy there,” Rio added.

“Well, let”s go guys. There”s no need to help the likes of him.” Evan added.

The three then left Alfi who had been drowned in that lake.

"Do I not deserve to live in this world?" Alfi asked himself sad.

"Kakak (Kakak has the same meaning as onii-chan (Japanese). Technically, it can be translated to "big bro" but, I think it doesn’t suit this dialogue. )" He hears a girl”s voice in his inner.

"Who are you?" Alfi asked.

Alfi sees a little girl with short hair standing before him. She looks at him with a blank gaze and she just wears a white dress. The girl looks so cute, but her blank gaze makes Alfi feel pity for her.

"What are you a little girl doing here?" Alfi asked.

She just remains silent. Alfi doesn't have any idea what should he do.

"Kakak..." She called him.

"Yes?" Alfi replied lowering his body so she doesn't need to raise her head and tiptoes.

"Do you wanna die?" She asked plainly.

"Wh... What do you mean?" Alfi asked surprised.

"Are you bored with this world? Are you fed up with your never-ending misery? Do you give up on living alone in this world? Are you sad seeing everyone ignoring you?" She asked.

Alfi remains silent.

She holds Alfi”s hand and says. "Don”t give up. The world is full of sadness and misery...."

"It is!" Alfi exclaimed. "The world is rotten. I always cry every time because of how cruel the world is. But, finally, I found the people I can believe in and they believe in me too. Now that I met them, I stop crying anymore. Finally, I found the beauty in this world of s**t. That”s why... I don”t wanna die!!!" He added.

"So you will defeat that shrimp-brain-rhino?" She added.

"I”d love to, but I”m out of Iru and I can”t breathe." Alfi sighed.

"Don”t worry, I'll help you." She said disappearing.

"Hey, where are you going?" Alfi asked shocked.

She comes out of Alfi”s body. She turns herself into a little thing but sharp. With such form, she dives fast spinning around Alfi to s***h Kiki and his clones. After the clones are vanished blown by the wave, she dives towards Kiki and sends him flying into the air.

She turns back to her human form. She swims to passing out Alfi”s back. She is in the stance to punch Alfi”s back. “Teknik Jitu: Pukulan Dewi Fortuna! (Ultimate Technique: Fortuna punches)” She exclaimed punching Alfi”s back consecutively.

Frankly, Alfi doesn’t feel any pain, he feels recovered instead. Alfi starts opening his eyes. His blue face has turned normal. After several punches, Alfi is sent flying to the air as well.

Alfi then touches his bracelet and Megumi appears.

“Alfi, are you alright honey? I was worried since you were out of Iru.” Megumi said anxiously.

“I”m Ok honey, give me weapon number 3,” Alfi replied.

“Are you sure? It”s one of the 4 forbidden weapons. If you can”t master it, you may lose your life!” Megumi warned him.

“I know the consequences, Megumi. Weapon number 3!” Alfi replied seriously.

Megumi touches the number 3 halation and pulled a silver traditional fan from his bracelet. Megumi throws it to Alfi.

“Be careful, honey,” Megumi said worrying him.

“Yes, honey. Weapon number 3: Duy-Duy! A perfect weapon for a battle on the water!” Alfi said diving towards Kiki who is standing on the lake.

Alfi punches Kiki and takes him to dive into the lake. Alfi goes as far as to throw Duy-Duy to his toes before he completely dives.

“Alfi dives?” Herman said in amazement.

“Alfi, have you lost your mind?! I know that you are crazy, but you shouldn’t go this far!” Kartika exclaimed crying.

Kartika doesn’t realize that she is crying. Herman then pats her shoulder awkwardly.

Suddenly the water of the lake is shaky. Kartika and Herman are examining the lake to see what happened.

Suddenly Kiki is sent flying into the sky followed by Alfi whose legs have turned into silver fins like a mermaid (Sounds disgusting eh?). Alfi then flaps his fins on Kiki that Kiki is sent flying in the air horizontally. Alfi pulls his magic curtain and throws it to the end of the lake.

Alfi dives back and swims fast catching that flying Kiki.

“The condition to use Duy-Duy is the user must feel the darkest sadness or recalling his worst and painful memory. And also, Duy-Duy can be used in the water only.” Alfi explained swimming fast.

“You are so smart, Alfi! I am so proud of you.” Megumi said admiring him.

“Alfi... He’s really something eh?” Herman said admiring him.

Kartika just remains silent smiling at Alfi who is busy attacking Kiki by flapping his fins on Kiki and his magic curtain which flapping on Kiki back to Alfi as if Alfi is playing Ping-pong with his magic curtain.

"Alfi... I am glad you are Ok! No matter what they say about you, you are you. And I do love you just the way you are." Kartika said in her mind.

"Hey Alfi, I've put Herman”s past as you want. Now, defeat him immediately!" I said.

"Ok, thank you," Alfi replied.

Alfi flaps his fins on Kiki really hard that he sends him flying crashes on an isle.

“Herman! Kartika! Let”s go!” Alfi exclaimed swimming as fast as possible towards Kiki.

“Roger!” Herman replied.

Kolonel comes out from Herman”s tattoo and says. “Alright soldier! On your position!”

Herman aims all of his fingers at Kiki. Kolonel enters back to Herman”s tattoo. The green light lightens Herman’s nails. “Teknik Jitu: Meriam Barda! (Ultimate Technique: Barda Cannon)” Herman exclaimed shooting 10 nails altogether to Kiki and resulting Kiki can”t move his body because of the explosion from those nails.

Kartika then runs toward Kiki and Cakra is ready to smack Kiki with his hand which is covered by blue Iru. “Teknik Jitu: Gemerlap Titan! (Ultimate Technique: Titan”s Sparkle)” Kartika exclaimed with Cakra smacking Kiki really hard.

“Alfi, your turn!” Kartika exclaimed.

“Alright!” Alfi replied swimming towards Kiki.

Alfi kisses his bracelet and jumps towards Kiki and punches him hard. He dives back and does the same at a faster pace. Alfi keeps his pace increasing constantly and he keeps doing this for about 10 seconds or approximately 800 combos. Then, Alfi flies to the air with his shining Duy-Duy.  “Teknik Jitu! Pembelah Ombak! (Wave Cutter)” Alfi exclaimed.

Suddenly 4 giant whirlpools come out from the surface. They get closer to paralyzed Kiki that they unite into 1 massive whirlpool that has Kiki in it.

Alfi is right in front of that massive whirlpool and he flaps his fins on it resulting in the whirlpool split in 2. “Just meet Roni already and show him that you're the priceless best friend of his.” Alfi said.

Kiki is defeated.

Situ Buleud has turned back into its normal form.

Alfi is lying on his back exhausted near the lake. Kartika and Herman run towards him.

“Alfi, are you Ok?” Kartika asked worrying him.

Alfi smiles at her and says. “I am. Can you put off Duy-Duy? It”s just like putting off your daily shoes.”

Kartika puts off Duy-Duy from his toes and Duy-Duy flies back to Alfi”s bracelet. Alfi tries to get up and suddenly Kartika hugs him tightly.

“Hey Kartika, what”s wrong?” Alfi asked surprised seeing her tears dripping from her eyes making Alfi”s jacket wet even more.

“Hey Kartika, you’re crying,” Alfi said in a panic.

“i***t,” Kartika said.

“What?” Alfi asked in amazement.

“Please stop doing stupid stuff. You always make me worry!” Kartika sobbed.

“Pardon? What did you say?” Alfi asked surprised.

Kartika remains silent. She just realized that she is hugging Alfi tightly. If she had not realized it, probably she would have kissed him. Kartika then looks at Alfi with her blushing face.

“What”s wrong, Kartika?” Alfi asked blushing.

Kartika”s face is turning red more and spontaneously she slaps Alfi hard.

“Hey, why the hell you did that?!” Alfi asked irritated.

“You perv! Weirdo! How dare you to hug me like that!” Kartika exclaimed embarrassed.

“You are the one who did that!” Alfi exclaimed irritated.

“You are the one! Now, you have to apologize!” Kartika exclaimed irritated.

“Never!” Alfi replied.

“What did you say?!” Kartika exclaimed irritated.

“Well, they do look like a perfect couple eh?” Herman said enjoying the quarrel between Alfi and Kartika.

“Agreed.” Cakra agreed.

“Ah, youth is really fun,” Kolonel added.

Megumi giggles and says. “They do get along well. They are the perfect couple.”

“Like the hell!” They both added irritated and embarrassed.

Meanwhile, somewhere near Situ Buleud.

“Dewi (Literal meaning: Goddess), we have to go home now,” Delu-Delu said.

The girl just stays standing there watching over them.

“Alfi...” She said.

“Yes, he is the world savior that the prophecy said,” Delu-Delu explained.

Dewi remains silent.

“Let”s go home,” Delu-Delu said.

“Right,” Dewi replied following Delu-Delu.

“By the way, which way should we take to go home?” Delu-delu asked.

“Follow me,” Dewi said guiding the way.

Dewi just thinks about Alfi. Dewi thinks that Alfi deserves to be the world savior, but that”s not what she wants from Alfi. She wants something from him, but she just doesn’t know what it is.

Alfi and friends have gone back to Pinto and they continue their journey.

“Alright, I”m gonna hit the sack!” Alfi said.

“Huh? It”s still at 7 o’clock and we just had dinner. I know that Doki-Doki can make us invulnerable to any disease, but it doesn’t mean you can laze around like that.” Kartika scolded Alfi.

“Well, actually I have something to do,” Alfi said demurely.

“Aw come on, let”s have a training session together,” Herman said.

“Just train alone, I have something to do with Megumi,” Alfi replied.

“Oh really? If I”m not mistaken... Shackles right?” Herman guessed.

“Shackles?” Kartika added in amazement.

Alfi just nods with his pervy look on his face.

“Alfi... Come here, honey...” They hear Megumi”s voice from Alfi”s bracelet. “I am in the bedroom already. Come on honey, don”t make me wait.” She added in a tempting voice.

“Ok honey! Right away!” Alfi answered in excitement hitting the elevator.  “Goodnight! Hehehe....” He added.

Kartika and Herman are shocked to hear it.

“DISGUSTING!!!” They both yelled at him.
