After Elijah left, Cain summoned Noah, who was in talks with the other investors for the upcoming backroom deal, to the chairman’s office.
“Grandfather,” Noah greeted and bowed.
His brows furrowed upon seeing Cain being anxious, drowning in his thoughts. “Is there something wrong?”
“We need to back out from that backroom deal,” Cain said, his tone low.
“What?” Noah’s eyes widened, and his eyes were laced with confusion. “Why is it so sudden?”
Instead of answering, Cain raised the document, signaling Noah to get it. “Here. Take a look at this.”
Noah obliged. He scanned the document, and his mouth widened upon seeing what it was.
“What the…” Noah trailed off, seeing all the evidence of his gambling addiction along with Dave and Victoria. “W-Who gave you this?”
“Elijah,” Cain answered
