My Wife

“I saw the news, has the divorce been finalized?" Her best friend, and only male friend she had, asked, his face filled with concern as they sat in a five-star restaurant. “I tried, I gave the motherfucker my debit card to take what I and my family owed him, but he said that was just the price of the cheapest bag he had bought me." Siena felt angry and frustrated, remembering how she had asked if she could return all that he had gotten her, but he refused, saying even if she was going to, he wanted them new. She has never even used most of them because she never sensed any value in them before, she just started trying them out because she didn't want to look like the pitiful housewife when she proposed the divorce letters. “I can f*****g talk to him." “No, no, please." Siena knew what ‘talk’ Riot meant as she could see his fist tightening on his coffee cup. Riot was no match for Sebastian. Siena knew how cunning and calculating Sebastian was, even though she hadn't spent that much time with him. Riot was just a mere fisherman, the only connection he had was with companies and market women who bought fish from him, and Sebastian… she sighed. “Ar.." she caught him off. “I need a well-paying job to get away from his claws; I can pay what I owe in installments; I just need a job…” "I can help, I made great sales this week, an…” "No, Riot.” Siena caught his hand in hers, caressing his knuckles slightly. "I want to get out of this myself; I have been the one living in such wealth blindly; I just need a job after I have sold every damn bag and clothes. He doesn't want the bag, nor does he want the clothes, I…” "I do not want money from my clothes, bags, and accessories!!” Siena almost spilled the coffee on herself when she heard the voice above her head, and her hand was suddenly yanked away from Riot. “Who is he?!!" Siena came face to face with Sebastian, who stared down at Riot like trash, disgust evident in his eyes. Gazes had turned to their table, and even with the shawl covering her head, she was unveiled in no time. “I am someone even more special to her.” Riot got up, matching Sebastian's height, pure hate spewing through him towards Sebastian. "Ri…" The last thing Siena wanted was Riot to be put into any f*****g news scandal because of her…. But as she made to touch Riot, calming him down before they got more attention, Sebastian pulled her back, slamming her into his chest. “Should I tell grandfather you are making a ‘nobody’ feel special than your own husband?” Sebastian threatened, facing her, his finger pressing into her waist. “He is my friend, and I want you to get out of here and stop causing a scene, why are you stalking me?" Siena said between gritted teeth. "I have every right to do as I please as far as you still go by my name.” “Siena.." Riot called. "Let her go, while I am still being nice.” Sebastian let out a throaty laugh. “Or what would you do, fisherman, catch me in a net? Ohh, Sebastian Harper is a big fish.” He knew. How long had he been watching her with Riot? Riot never came to their wedding because he had business outside the country, and Sebastian and Riot had never met, but Sebastian had learned about Riot in just a short time. How dangerous was he, but she wouldn't let him hurt Riot. “That's enough humiliation for today, now I want you to get out of here, Sebastian." "I bought the restaurant a few minutes ago… you won't threaten me on my property, Siena Harper?” Siena bit her shaky lips, nodding her head slightly. “Then I would leave, find a job, and get you your money." “Really.." Sebastian scoffed. “What job? You want to help him with his fish business, make pan-seared salmon as he catches the fish.” With the side of her eyes, Siena caught Riot about to take a step from where he stood. With a pleading look from her, mouthing a ‘’please,’’ she had him stay rooted. Siena pulled Sebastian with her, using all her strength as it felt like she was pulling a rock; she eased a sigh of relief after getting outside. A sudden gasp left her lips when she caught sight of the press gathering around them and more people. “What s**t do you have in mind?" she yelled. “My f*****g surprise too." As soon as he completed his words, he crashed his lips onto hers, shutter clicks of cameras and noises filling the air. Sebastian's hand held her head steady, another hand wrapped tightly around her waist, giving her no chance to struggle even with her every word being swallowed by the kiss as his tongue managed to get into her mouth. With a bite from her, he tried not to show any reaction that screamed pain as he pulled away from her, staring back into the people gathered around. “Does this curb the rumor? My wife and I are in a healthy relationship, or do we have to go naked and do our most private duty right in front of you all to prove how true we are?” "Sebastian!!”
