Chapter 12: The Ladies and the Guest

          That night, Ace and Alfred arrived in the Dinner room. They both wear a “formal” dinner attire, because of the arrival of the ladies. While the 2 of them waiting for Lady Amy and Lady Stephanie, the servants asked them what are the cuisine they would like tonight, and for the ladies of course. After the servants asked them, they leave them both immediately.

Alfred start a conversation between him and Ace.

Alfred: I got information that Aella go into your office to talk to you. May I know why?

Ace didn’t answer his question but he said.

Ace: It is none of her business. And brother…

Alfred: Yes?

Ace: I’m warn—

But before he can say what he wanted to tell to Alfred, they heard Sylvia’s voice in whisper tone on the other side of the door.

Sylvia: Aella just please go inside, don’t be shy to the lords… You look lovely in that outfit believe me!

Aella: But I hate what I’m wearing today, I feel very uncomfortable.

Sylvia: Yes, but you should look appropriate because Lord Ace’s fiancée is here and Lady Amy. You should attend the dinner as a sign of respect for their hospitality to you.

Aella: I know and believe me I would. But I feel naked, I don’t want my bare skin to be exposed!

Sylvia: Just try to endure it please… the lords are looking at our direction.

Ace: EHEM!

His voice Boomed around the room.

Aella and Sylvia startled. Sylvia looked at Aella with a pleasing face. Aella sighed and she finally decided to enter the room.

          When Aella go inside, she immediately turned her face on the side because she doesn’t want to see the lords looking at her.

Alfred and Ace couldn’t help but to stare at her simple beauty.

She wore a plane yellow slim dinner dress, she has natural black straight hair, and the natural pink color of her lips… he appreciated her beauty without make up on her face.

          Alfred keep his gaze on the beautiful Aella and Ace immediately broke his gaze to her. Aella’s face turned red while she walked towards the dinner table. Alfred stood up and escort her to her sit beside him. He is being a gentleman to Aella made her face become more redder than ever. When Ace saw Aella’s face become more redder, he immediately hide his smile behind his right hand. He’s entertained on what he’s witnessing right now.

          When Aella take her sit, she Thanked Alfred. Alfred couldn’t help to smile wide and pat her hair. Aella smile back at him but she didn’t dare to look at him because she’s too embarrassed.

Alfred: Don’t be shy Aella, you should have a self-confidence.

Ace: If you are too embarrassed to wear that dress you can change you know? But it would make yourself look fool.

Alfred: Don’t tell me you would prefer to wear a fighting suit than a dress? Dress won’t kill you or hurt you… you know?

Alfred teased her brutally… now redness in her face didn’t fade.

Ace ignored them and his eye’s travel again to the direction of the door and saw Lady Stephanie with Lady Amy entered the room. The servants immediately escort the 2 of them and they pull the chairs of the lady’s respected seats. The ladies take a sit and greet Lord Ace and Lord Alfred. The lords greet them back too.

Aella is the only one who didn’t greet them, she is facing her face downward because she’s still felt so embarrassed.

          Finally, Lady Stephanie and Lady Amy felt her presence in the room. Lady Amy asked Alfred.

Amy: Is this the “Guest” you’ve told us my lord?

Alfred: Yes, she is. Meet Miss Aella Ramirez, she’s human as you can see…

Then finally the ladies greet her and she greet them back. She looked at them, she saw Lady Amy’s and Lady Stephanie’s tattoo on the back of their hands. Lady Amy has a water symbol, Lady Stephanie has a fire symbol. She secretly looked their tattoos and then smiled to both of them.

Stephanie: I’m curious why Miss Aella, a human become a guest here. Do… she has a business with the lords?

Ace: No. She served us.

Stephanie: What do you mean she’s your personal assistant? I mean… of all people, why her?

Ace: It’s classified…

Stephanie clenched her fist behind the chair, but her expression remained calm. She didn’t ask anymore because she might upset the lord. Lady Amy looked at Aella, she’s studying her with a jealous face. She noticed Alfred is close to her. When she about to ask what is Aella’s relationship with Alfred, the servants arrived with their dinner meal.

The servants placed their meal in front of them and they all started to eat except Aella.

Aella prayed before she ate her meal, all of them noticed Aella’s action and then they ignored her but Alfred didn’t. Alfred asked Aella.

Alfred: Why do you bow your head and clasped both of your hands before you eat?

Aella: I’ll tell you later my lord…

And they both continue to eat. Lady Amy is so jealous, because Aella always get the attention of Lord Alfred and not her. Lady Stephanie noticed it too, so she started a topic about her sister to get Alfred’s attention on her sister.

Stephanie: My lords, do you know that Lady Amy’s hardwork to become a master in Water bending. I’m so proud of her because she improved a lot, she used her power for our people’s aid. She didn’t think twice to protect and help our people.

Alfred: That’s good Lady Amy, your people do really deserve to have a Selfless, kind and beautiful lady like you.

Lady Amy blushed and thanked him.

Ace: Good.

His comment to her is only “1 word”!

Ace: How are you doing in your kingdom Lady Stephanie?

Lady Stephanie and Lord Ace start a conversation about a business plan and how it can make a good reputation to their kingdom of Fabul. Aella felt out of place… Alfred noticed her long face, then suddenly, an idea popped in his mind.

He leaned to her side and whispered something to her ear. Aella’s face brightens and give him a nod. Later on, after Lady Stephanie and Lord Ace conversation finally ended. She got a question to make Aella look bad to the lords. She asked Aella.

Stephanie: How about you Miss Aella, do you have a kingdom to rule on?

Aella didn’t expected that she would question her. She answered her politely.

Aella: I’m afraid I don’t have a kingdom, Lady Stephanie.

Stephanie: Then what are you in the Human planet?

Aella: I’m just a normal student in my home world. But I serve my planet… before

Stephanie: Eh? Then how did you become a guest in here if you are just a normal student?

She says it with a disappointment look on her face.

Aella: Lady Stephanie, as what the Lord Ace told you it is confidential. Can we just not brag about it and let’s just respect the Lord’s privacy.

Stephanie is stunned because Aella’s dodges her question. Ace looked at Aella with an impressed face. Her hands start to heat up but she immediately calmed herself or she might ruin her reputation in front of the lords. There’s a moment of silence in the room.

Alfred break the silence and he start a new related topic to that topic.

Alfred: How’s your studying in your school then?

Aella: Pretty good.

Ace: What do you mean by “pretty good”, did you got a bad, good or very good grades?

Aella looked at him with a shy face.

Aella: I’m sorry my lord but I don’t want to bragged about it.

Ace: Then I order you to tell us.

Aella sighed and she can’t help but to obey his order.

Aella: I do have perfect grades. I mean… a very good grades.

Alfred: Tell us more!

Aella: ughh… like in every subject I perfect it. I’m perfect in everything in school but not outside the school. My life is a mess in the outside.

Amy: Oh, that’s so sad!

Aella: I don’t think so. By serving my home world, the people… can make me feel happy!

She smiled at them with full of pride.

          After they’ve finished their dinner. They all told farewells and goodnights to each other. Lord Ace and Lord Alfred escorted Lady Stephanie and Lady Amy to their room, and Sylvia is Aella’s escort. Alfred can’t help to fall his gaze on Aella… Ace follow his gaze, his eyebrows frowned.

          Sylvia helped her to remove Aella’s dress and she prepared a hot bath for Aella to relax after what she endured in the dinner and pay for her effort.

          Aella take a bath, she’s just chilling there and felt relaxed. After 10 minutes she heard a knock on the door but when she double checked her hearing, she didn’t hear another knock, so she didn’t mind it. 5 minutes later she decided to wrap up. She get her bath towel and put it around her body. She saw her evening clothes on the bed, she turned around and she start to remove her bath towel on her body. The door suddenly opened! Aella’s face became pale and she screamed!
