Chapter 10

1924 Words
Mr. Shen was frightened; his hands and feet shook violently, he fell from where he was standing before. With his heart beating fast, Mr. Shen immediately contacted his people, asking them to throw Alena's body onto the street. He delivers a letter to Alena's home address the next day, stating that Alena was dishonorably discharged. *** The old man who was beside Alena nodded in agreement. "Why did he do all this? Inviting without an address and time, and only sending us invitations like this," said the old man as if he was talking to himself. He looked far ahead, but his words were thrown at his new young friends. He's just been dishonorably expelled by the CDA, and they say he's too old, so he's not as agile for finding information. The old man's presence at the CDA's place was not expected; someone the CDA had no longer desired was the scum of society, and so was the man. "You are an old bastard! You think because you're the oldest here, you'll get preferential treatment!" asked the old man's boss, who was much younger than him. "I've already written a resignation letter for you! You can get out of this place right now!" The old man's heart seemed to be squeezed so hard. He held his chest and begged for help because he couldn't breathe anymore. The sudden decision his superior gave him made it hard to breathe. When he fell and stretched his arms out for help, his boss stomped on his chest with his pointy loafers. "You want to ask for help! What company do you think this is! A charity foundation! Who's going to help you! You're just trash we don't need anymore! Do you think we still want to hire a sick old man like you! Just dreaming, I'll never want to! Better get out of here!" Then his superiors left the old man who was getting more and more in pain, holding the squeezing that was so intense that was happening in his body. His hand that was raised initially then gradually became too weak, he was no longer strong, and finally closed his eyes, and his hand fell beside his body. "Get that man's body out of my room! Send the letter of dismissal to his house!" The boss glanced at the old man and smiled disdainfully. *** Jin's cell phone rang, he immediately looked at the contents. After reading the message on his cellphone, he immediately told his other friends. "I'm ten past four." Samuel looked at the clock, surprised; the clock was about to show ten past four. "Where should we wait?" another asked. Samuel quickly read the news in the newspaper. On page five, it is written that the meeting was held on the island of Flores. The event took place at precisely seven in the morning. The event reported in the newspaper was attended by several countries, and at that time, there were five hundred and fifty-six people present. The meeting was closed, and reporters were not allowed into the room. At that time, they planned to talk about the development of countries, foreign policy issues and discuss the most significant underground station in Springfield. This is where Samuel and the others are now. It was written there, that the meeting took place on time, and no one dared to come late, because it was so embarrassing. Samuel thought hard at this sentence, and he immediately concluded that they shouldn't be late, otherwise they would be punished, but Samuel wasn't sure of his guess. However, the clock would soon be ten past four in five minutes. "s**t! We were wrong!" cried Samuel, "come on, everyone upstairs!" Samuel immediately ran, followed by the others. Jin kept looking at his watch, the seconds ticking by. He ran after Samuel. "Where are we headed this time!" Jonathan quipped, his newspaper folded and pinned between his armpits. However, Samuel didn't listen to Jonathan's question, and he kept running while his mind was full. He was panting for breath, and he still had to climb the stairs to the outside of the station. "Fast!" he said to Jin. Jin's face became worried; he was a detective who got kicked out for having trouble with a client. His temper exploded, making him punch his client. His client made fun of Jin. *** "Are you a detective!" his client at that time insulted Jin, looking down on Jin, who had the style of a thug. "How can there be a detective like you! Long, unkempt hair! And..." Jin clenched his fists, and he held the annoyance in his fists. "I know you are a gigolo. As far as I know, no detective is a gigolo. Hahaha." Jin immediately took the pen beside him; he stabbed his client's hand until the client screamed in pain. "Aaaah!" Jin's teeth pressed against each other, and his eyes glared at the client. He whispered, "I could serve you if you wanted. But, sadly, I don't want to use an impotent like you. Even your rectum doesn't want me to go in." Jin left the client, blood soaking Jin's table. "Aaaah!" The client kept Jin's name in his mind, and the next day, Jin was kicked out of the CDA company. *** "Fast!" Samuel shouted to all his friends. Time flies so fast, with only two minutes left. Their breath hitched, and their eyes watered because they had to traverse such a long road. Two minutes... One minute ... Fifty seconds... "Jin! You're the first! Come here quickly!" shouted Samuel; he immediately ran behind to catch Jin's hand so that the man immediately followed him and waited in front of the highway. "There! We have to be on time. The paper says the meeting took place on time, which means they don't tolerate tardiness." "Where are they going to pick up! The directions they gave were very brief!" he said again, he looked left and right, looking for something similar to the newspaper, but he found nothing. "There! Come on!" The seconds ticked twenty seconds away from the set time, but Samuel and Jin still hadn't reached their destination. "Fast!" shouted Samuel again, behind them, faces all full of tension. "That!" Samuel knew where the waiting envelope meant. "Come on, let's get there right away!" They all ran through the traffic lights, and they had ten seconds to spare. "Aaah!" shouted Alena; she ran to avoid the car and almost got hit by a speeding motorbike. Five seconds... Four seconds... Three seconds... Two seconds... "Jin, almost there!" Samuel and Jin were almost at their destination. One second ... Zero ... Dorrr! "Aaaa!" "Aaaa!" "Aaaa!" Screams filled the air in front of them. Jin was almost where they were going, a circle by a park bench. A floating newspaper fell right on the head of Jin, who was shot. His body was limp, and he was no longer alive. Samuel and Jonathan couldn't believe what was happening in front of them. Meanwhile, Abdul ran to Jin, who was lying in the street crowd. His head was covered with sheets of last month's newspaper. On it were the words "Five hundred people" covered in Jin's fresh blood. Abdul's feet took a few steps back. His face was tense, his whole body was shaking, his mouth was open, and his eyes were wet. Suddenly he fell. His eyes were empty; in front of him stretched the stiff body of his friend. *** A glimmer of light dazzled Samuel's eyes; he opened his eyes and saw that the surroundings had changed. "Where is this?" he asked, not knowing where he was now. The image of Jin's body lying on the road made Samuel's heart beat fast. Jin died on the spot; Samuel had looked around, he saw a sniper far away in the tall building there, the police arrived. Abdul shouted, "Hey, where are you, Killer! Show me your face! Don't be such a coward!" He looked in all directions angrily. Alena screams, and she doesn't want to play this game. "I want to go home!" The old man stood still, and he didn't say anything. Meanwhile, Jonathan shouted, "It's all because of you!" he accused Samuel. As time ticked on, and when it was time for Abdul to leave, his face turned stiff, his screams could no longer be heard, the police pulled him to be a witness, but he was like a madman screaming, "If I weren't in that damn place, I would have died!" The policeman who heard Abdul say this became offended and angry; he hit Abdul with his stick. "Come with us to the police station right now!" "Not!" "If you don't come, I will punish you right now!" With bloodshot and watery eyes, Abdul shouted, "You can punish me later when I get a lot of money!" Abdul screamed, his body shaken, he didn't smile at all. Abdul looked at the police watch, and immediately his face tensed up; with quick steps, he ran towards the place that Samuel had previously told him. Ten seconds... Nine seconds... Eight seconds... "Come with me now!" shouted the police teaching Abdul. However, suddenly the police cell phone rang. He immediately left Abdul and picked up the phone. "Hello, Sir." The policeman's face was sweaty; he wiped it with his hand, glanced at Abdul furiously, then turned around again. "Yes, Sir. Fine." When the policeman turned around, his eyes blinked twice; he couldn't find Abdul anymore. A black SUV stopped briefly in front of Abdul, and then Abdul got into it. Samuel ran towards the police. He tugged at the police suit, "Help us! Help us! A fvck game has been played! And we don't want to play this game! We want to get out of this!" However, Samuel saw the sniper descending the stairs, his eyes bulging. "There he is! He is the killer!" Samuel shouted. He pointed at the sniper, but no one else saw the sniper. The sniper had disappeared; Samuel immediately ran towards the building, where the sniper must be hiding. He looked at the clock; one more minute, someone must have left. "Jonathan! Someone must be ready!" Jonathan heard the screams. He shouted back, "It should be you! Just you die!" His shoulders shook, but he was afraid that the next person would be shot by someone who didn't know where it was coming from. He looked around nervously and panicked. "Who will go after this!" shouted Jonathan. *** He asked himself, where is this? However, he did not know where he was. Samuel saw Jonathan lying on the plush bed beside him. "Jonathan! Jonathan!" Samuel ran to wake his friend. "Ahhh!" Jonathan held his head. He groaned in pain. "What have I been drinking to make me feel sick like this?" Jonathan asked; he was still squirming in bed, holding his head while his eyes were still closed. Samuel shook Jonathan's body. "Wake up, wake up!" cried Samuel. Seeing Jonathan still reluctant to open his eyes, Samuel immediately got up and ran towards the window. "Do we have the room key?" Samuel asked Jonathan, who was still fast asleep. "Where is this?" He opened the bedroom door, and in front of him lay a beach shaded with trees. He ran to the beach and saw he was already on an island. Besides the room, there are several rooms. A woman with a gloomy face came out of a room near his room. And, in another room, the old man came out.
