Samuel saw that the woman who was speaking was Alena. In Samuel's mind, he asked what Alena had eaten so smelly, but when he saw Alena, Alena looked at Samuel, and without the officers knowing, Alena blinked her eyes, signaling to Samuel that she was doing this for Samuel. For a while Samuel gasped, apparently Alena did it for him. He couldn't help but smile because of what Alena had done to him.
