The first Shift.

Starr's p.o.v.

As I stop there in front of this beautiful golden dragon I wasn't afraid. I walked closer and placed a hand under his chin and my forehead to his.

I know you can hear me, and I'm not scared I'm willing to practice and see what my dragon looks like.

" your dragon is you there is no difference like the wolves. we do not share a mind with a spiritual counter part we are just camouflaged in a human form."

Now I know I'm not crazy but did he just say we are just camouflaged? The thought of being this huge dragon in this small body is beyond me, but something inside knows he is right. Vincent shifted back to human form and we sat there on the ground for a few minutes before I'm ready to try. " OK Vincent I'm ready to try." I told him as a matter of fact like trying to sound confident.

"  Well lets begin, first i want you to strip down unless you want your clothes shredded in the transformation. Second clear your mind, think of the fire that burns inside you see yourself in your true form, " as he was telling me that to do I did it. First my clothes however i am nervous being naked infront of this man I found it easy to do. Must be the mate bond he was talking about. Then I cleared my mind thinking of m size and flame. Before I knew it I was glowing purple. " Oh my gods.... you are beautiful. " I heard him say before opening my eyes. When i did he was smaller than me and I tried to speak but only a roar came out. Vincent am I....... a dragon now?  I asked with my mind. " Yes gorgeous you are and you are purple." I wanted to see so bad I didnt even think about the humans and started to run but I was floating. I Flew to the lake and just looked at my reflection. " Starr!!! " I hear running up behind me. " Starr you need to shift back before the humans see you." Just hearing those words had me in a panic. I tried to transform back but I couldnt I tried to scream and a gorgeous purple flame shot from my mouth and the gate appeared. " Starr thats it. Thats how we get back." he yelled as he was climbing on my back. " Go Starr Go towards the gate." and just like that we were in this lush green forrest. "  I see you lesrned how to shift back " I heard as I looked down and I was human,  well human form,  again and completely naked. Vincent quickly tossed me my clothes and after dressing again we started walking around.

I saw it. I know I saw a purple dragon come thru the gate with a man on its back. but soon as it was thru there was a beautiful petite dirty blond girl with the deepest green piercing eyes. It had to be her and the man was Vincent. " Boss they are back " I quickly mind linked the alpha. I knew one day he would find her and they would return. " Now we have to get rid of her before they reach the summit and complete the mating process Liam you know what to do. " the Alpha replied. Alpha Rick was as mean and nasty as they come. being a weretiger he wanted to be the king of our world. Something told me he wouldnt succeed and I needed to protect the queen.

Vincents p.o.v.

As we walked thru the gorgeous landscape of our home i could feel Starr's excitment. Her thoughts so loud its as if she were speaking.

if I'm from here then why cant I remember a place a beautiful and seren as this?  Seeing Vincent in this light I can see his gold glow radiating from him. I wonder if he can see my purple glow?

" As a matter of fact I can my love. " I'm not sure she remembers I can hear her thoughts. She could hear mine if she stopped and thought about it.

" Wait you just did that thing again didnt you " Starr was confused. " Yes dear but as i said you can as well, shut off your thoughts you will hear mine. " As we stood there I could see her trying to shut out her own thoughts. Starr can you hear me?

Oh my gods i can that's how you do it. this is going to be hard seeing as how my mind never shuts off.

I snickered at the last part. Gods how could I have such a perfect mate. So beautiful, silky long blonde hair, emerald green eyes I get lost in, perfectly toned body. Oh the things I'd do to that body.

" What exactly would you do with my body " Starr said and i jumped forgetting she just learned to read minds again. " Well since you heard me let me show you. " My lips crashed into hers and the sparks flew. it was like fireworks, or dragon fire, so warm and bright. I snaked my arms around her petite waist and pulled her closer lifting her and her legs wrapped around my waist. Her hands in m hair mine on that perfect ass of hers. Before we got to far into our first physical encounter I heard a branch snap on a near by tree and automatically had my mate behind me. She was powerful but she hasnt unlocked her powers yet. Just as I caught glimps of the intruder I shifted unleashing my massive Gold dragon. Stop right there. I roared in their mind. It was a tiger. Shift!  I commanded,  being a dragon I had power over all other sups. As soon as I ordered the shift there was a naked man standing before me. " Sir, I'm Liam, I am here to help protect the queen until you can reach the summit and complete the mating process and she helps you reign over all our world. The alpha of our streak is dead set on stopping her highness. You see he is the one who had a dark Elf blast her out of our world." I cut him off with my eyebrows raised and I was back in human form. " What do you mean? Rick is responsible for banishing my mate and the Queen of our realm while she was a child? That is the ultimate showcase of betrayal and punishable by death. " " Sire i understand but please let me finish. You see I was not a part of the crime I was tasked with killing the queen before you both reach the summit. "

" Starr, my name, its Starr. not queen, her highness...." But Majesty...." No I'm not Majesty either I'm Starr." she was fiesty my mate. " And kill me? do you think a tiger can kill a dragon? " I had to cut them off and re evauluate our situation. " OK Liam you're coming with us. Your tracking and sight in the dark withh be useful. " I said as we started walking once more.
