The Werewolf Mate( my Luna)

Chapter 4

Fridolf heard about what happened back at school to his friend and it got him restless. He wondered what might have triggered it. He opted to speak with Carmen and waited till after school hours.

-We are wolf hunters and I did nothing bad to her, she just blew up and I wonder where she got the power from- Carmen said with no remorse.

-If only you know how painful it is to be bullied. When I am made king your family will be the first I will wipe out-

-Let us see if you really can be made king. Talking of someone who does not even know his powers and can not fight for himself-

Fridolf left feeling challenged and vowed to hasten the process of initiation by learning everything quickly.

On the night of a full moon, he sat outside his house staring at the sky when suddenly an old woman appeared to him. He felt frightened and wanted running back inside but she stopped him.

She ran her fingers though his hair and chuckled.

-How big you have grown my dear king, the time is near -

Out of fear, fridolf broke away from her grip and went straight into his room.

The king? How? Why call him a king? He was shocked and everything does not seems to make sense anymore.

Ashlee visited fridolf's home and met his absence but the mom was around. She once again saw the neck chain on her neck . She ushered her inside and asked her if she came from the high pack or low pack wolf family.

When she made mention of being from the low pack wolf family, fridolf's mom was tensed and told her to please stay away from her son. The higher pack does not associate with the lower pack and if they fail to comply , it may cause them a serious issue.

She ejected Ashlee out of her home and warned her to never step foot there again.

Ashlee rushed back home with tears in her eyes but with each step she took, she felt a surge of energy.

Fridolf contacted her to ask why she never came by his house and she told him all that his mother said.

He got angry and off he went to his mom.

He asked why they could not relate and demanded an explanation.

-A future ruler stooping low to mingle with the low packs?

-Your barely allow me have friends or go out yet you keep telling me how I will have to rule or be a leader and for the initiation to be completed I need to get a Luna- he said painfully

His mother realized there and then that she saw a necklace on Ashlee's neck and only a powerful one or the Luna could wear it.

She grabbed her son by the shoulder, shook him vigorously and pleaded that he should not think of taking her as his Luna.

He broke free from her grip while staring at her as though he was seeing a stranger.

- Actually I have had that thought but then won't the Luna be choosen by the Wolf's ancestors. When it's time I will know who she is -

Fridolf's mother went in search for Ashlee's home . Entering the house, it reeked of the low wolf pack family .

Boulder saw her and asked who she was and what she was doing in their home.

She demanded to see Ashlee and her mother.

But was told they were out of the house

She left the house in disappoinment and since she already got the information she needed, she went in search of wolf hunters that could take down Ashlee and her family.

She only hope the secret of the past won't be revealed.

Many years back, during the initiation process for the wolves, Georgia (fridolf's mom) connived with her husband (Raphael) to eliminate him since he was a great rival to the success of Raphael.

The two men were the last two standing and ready for the final stage of the initiation but Ryder (Ashlee's dad) had more power and more chance of becoming a high pack wolf .

Raphael sought the help of a wolf hunter to hunt down Ryder.

On the eve of the initiation, he was murdered and they had no other option than to make Raphael the ruler.

No one knew about this secret except the old lady that appeared to fridolf and Ashlee known as lady samshin. She witnessed the murder of Ryder in the woods but kept it a secret since then .

The wolf hunter that murdered him was Carmen's dad and he struck a deal with Raphael and Georgia to get Carmen married off to fridolf and be made his Luna.

A wolf hunter and a wolf can not be together except an initiation process occur that will turn the wolf hunter into a wolf .

And that was the plan.

Carmen's dad told them to not go against the promise lest he reveals the secret and every body goes down alongside with him.

He knows the privilege that comes with becoming a Luna and he wanted his daughter to be one.

Georgia went off in search of him to help eliminate the remaining family of ryder . Atleast that will give his daughter a better chance of being the Luna.

She got home and discussed everything with her husband and they both planned on how to go with it not knowing fridolf was eavesdropping all these while. While going back to his room, he mistakingly hit down a jug which made some noise and his parents came out to check if anyone was lurking around their room.

He hurridly went to his room and thought of a way to help Ashlee and her family. He despised his parents now and felt so bad knowing that they had the blood of Ashlee's dad on their hands.

He didn't know how to face Ashlee with this news but he was determined to help her in any way he can.
