Chapter 5

(Fridolf's POV)

Very early the next morning, I went off to school searching for Ashlee. I needed to tell her to be safe and avoid coming by my house for a while.

How possibly could I get married to Carmen after becoming the ruler. someone whose dad is capable of murder .

I saw Ashlee somewhere reading a book and just when I tried approaching her, Carmen's dad went over to her and I knew not what they were discussing.

I stood at a spot keeping an eye on them lest anything should go wrong then I can alert the school management.

Today was the day of my initiation, I have been practicing so hard and learning all the basics and nitty gritty required to become powerful.

I had to compose myself and go through the process without a heavy heart.

Dark clouds gathered and the initiation began, I felt as though I was in a different world , my body felt light but my head was heavy. I felt aches all over my body and felt strong forces surging inside me.

I could see Carmen's dad was aware of the initiation process and I could see how his face lit up with happiness knowing I will be the ruler soon and his daughter a Luna.

I needed to stop the initiation process, I just had to. I forced myself to come out of this trance.

The dark clouds disappeared and I feel to the ground. Everyone gasped and wondered what just happened. Carmen's dad was furious and boiling within . He disappeared into the crowd and I followed him.

My parents followed me asking where I was going to and what I just did.

I saw Carmen's dad holding Ashlee by the wrist and dragging her into a hole beneath the ground.

-Stop, what are you doing? Were the only words that came out of my mouth. I knew not what I was doing but I needed to do something.

My parents were panting when they finally caught up with us . I told them I heard everything they said and I can not allow them hurt Ashlee or anyone again.

I was not willing to be the ruler anymore and that was why I stopped the initiation process.

Mom broke down in tears and took a table knife out of her bag , walking towards Ashlee she said she either have me go back and complete the initiation process or Ashlee dies.

I have never seen such cruelty from my mom and I wondered where it all came from suddenly.

Carmen's dad reminded them of their promise and said if it does not happen he will reveal all that he knows to the Wolf's ancestors.

Ashlee was scared and one could see it on her face. I stood my ground and said I was not going to go back for the initiation process.

My mother tried slitting Ashlee's neck but I pushed Ashlee away and instead has myself cut.

She was furious because she felt she had hurt me and while she moved to come check out my wound, a bright light appeared making me squint my eyes. A hand was offered by a lady on a horse - Grab my hand and climb the horse - the woman said. I held onto her hand and pulled Ashlee up with me. Soon we were away up in the air . It turned out to be lady samshin. She came to help us . She took us to a land filled with ice and it was so cold she gave us a coat.

She told us to learn to survive for trouble lurks around everywhere and one day when the time is right then we can go back and reclaim what is ours.

(Georgia's POV)

They all staresd at themselves wandering what just happened. Raphael asked Carmen's dad what could be done to bring back both fridolf and Ashlee . He told them he knew not what to do and was only concerned about the deal they struck and ask that they be fast in finding fridolf and Ashlee.

Raphael took his wife home so they could sit and think of what to do. Georgia suggested they held Ashlee's mother and sister captive and threaten her with that.

All wolves have a means of communication . When the full moon appears one can seek to speak with any fellow wolf .

Georgia took Ashlee's mom and boulder to a dungeon and gave them a ten days ultimatum to call their daughter back lest they risk losing their lives.

On the full moon, Raphael reached out to her son and ask that he comes back home which he declined. She went further to show her holding boulder and her mom captives and keeping them in the dungeon.

- If Ashlee wants to still see her mother and sister then she has ten days to return here alongside with you or she risk losing them- Georgia said.

Fridolf asked his mom why she grew so cold and she answered that she can not sit and watch all she suffered for go in vain.

He further asked her not to hurt them and await his return.

(Fridolf's POV)

They heard wolves howling in the background . It was a place covered with ice with no sight of life close by. They were freezing to death when a wolf appeared to them .

-When I see a fellow wolf I can recognize it, what brings you to thi place and also in a human form- the wolf asked

Fridolf and Ashlee could not speak but only shiver. Seeing the condition they were both in, the wolf led the way and told them to follow him. He led them into a warm cosy inn . He told them to help themselves to some hot soup and water and go to bed while they regain their strength.

The following morning, fridolf and Ashlee woke up to behold a young man standing in the room. He introduced himself as Nick and said he was the wolf they met yesterday.

He asked what brings them to this place and how they plan on surviving.

He got a glimpse of a necklace on Ashlee's neck and immediately he bowed down to her .

-My Luna- he chanted.

Fridolf and Ashlee looked at each other in amazement.
