“Did you hear that?” I murmured, afraid.
“What?” Erwan muttered in a sleepy voice.
“Did you hear something?” Cahl asked, getting up as well.
“Elizabeth...” the voice began again.
“There!” I said, pointing my index finger at the woods on the other side of the road.
“I can’t hear anything,” said Erwan
“Elizabeth,” the stranger repeated in a whisper.
My gaze was suddenly caught by two eyes that shone strangely. It was Cahl.
“It speaks to you telepathically, doesn’t it? I have trouble making out its voice distinctly.”
I was going to reply when a whitish shadow crossed my field of vision and disappeared behind the highest part of the minivan.
Fear immediately triggered a powerful flow of adrenaline that quickly dispersed in every part of my body.
