"Just say it, just say it!"
A deep growl made me realize I was about to make a mistake. Big. But, I don't care. The pain is so great that no matter what he does to me, he couldn't hurt me more.
Lying on the ground, with an almost empty bottle in his hand, the man who with a single word can decide my fate stands up helplessly. The campfire light casts reddish reflections in the long, night-coloured hair that waves over his massive, bare shoulders.A nervous muscle twitches on his slanted jaw.
"Since when does a Rogue hold an Alpha accountable!" It's not the yelling that tears me up as much as the words. Rogue. Never, but never have I been Rogue to him. Silver, kid and sometimes Puppy.
"Please!" I begged him. Tears scalded my cheeks, clouding my silver eyes.
He leaned over me and his giant body made me take a step back. He's a six-foot colossus full of muscle, gently towering over my frail body. I'm only 5'6". His handsome face is quickly crossed by a suite of feelings: tenderness, love, hatred and despair, but they fade away quickly. He grabs me by the slender arms and instantly thousands of lightning bolts shake us both. His scent surrounds me and I almost lose my mind. I'm not indifferent to him either, I can tell by the growl of mourning that erupts from his chest. He sniffs me and wipes the tears from my face with his hot lips. The wolf in him has taken control and I feel the powerful claws tearing at my skin. For a brief moment hope floods our hearts, me and the wolf in me, but it's shattered by the harsh words burning my face.
"I, Aiden Hunter reject you Silver White as my soul mate."
Darkness descends quickly over me and before I plunge into the abyss I realize there is something that...yes, can hurt me more, and it's just the beginning.
