Kathryn's Point of View
We barely knocked on the door before Heather quickly pulls it open.
She stares at us for a few seconds before a big smile spreads over her face.
"Kathryn, Elijah! Come on in."
She says, stepping back to give us space to enter the house.
"You know, you have perfect timing. I was just about to call you."
She says, after hugging both me and Elijah.
"Is something wrong?"
I ask immediately, a worried frown on my face, but she shakes her head, giving me a reassuring smile.
"No, no. Colton has just been asking for you. We have been able to keep him entertained for a while, but I think he has had enough of us now. He is in the living room, playing blocks with your father. Would the two of you like some coffee?"
