Kathryn's Point of View
I stand frozen in the living room, my gaze darting between Dawson, Riley and Elijah. A long silence passes between the four of us.
"What do you mean she was released?"
I ask, my voice sharp, but before anyone can answer, I shake my head and continue to speak, softer this time.
"No... No, she can't be out. This shouldn’t be possible. She’s going to come back. She always comes back."
I whisper and Elijah steps closer, gripping my shoulders gently, but I pull away from him and begin to pace furiously in the living room. My gaze darts back to Riley and Dawson standing near the doorway.
"You said you had enough to keep her locked up! How the hell is she walking free after what she did?
I snap and Riley sighs, running a hand through his hair.
