Kathryn's Point of View
"What? What did she say? What happened?"
I ask nervously.
He swallows hard, his eyes full of disbelief and fear.
"Colton…"
His voice breaks, and he takes a deep breath before trying again.
"Colton was just kidnapped."
I gasp, panic flooding my body. My hand flies to my face and my knees buckle. I clutch the edge of the hospital bed to stay standing.
"No. No, no, no. What do you mean by kidnapped? Are you sure?"
I ask, shaking my head in disbelief. Elijah wraps his arm around me and helps me sit on the bed.
"She said he was right there one minute, then the next he was gone. She called the police. They are checking cameras, and looking everywhere. She is at the police station."
"Oh my God... oh my God, Elijah, no. This can’t be happening."
I say shaking
