Kathryn's Point of View My eyes slowly open, and I blink against the low light, trying to get my eyes used to the lighting of the room. I stare up at the white ceiling, feeling confused and disoriented. I hear a beeping sound coming from next to me and I frown. Where on earth am I? What happened? I try to move, to sit up, but pain flares through my abdomen and a quiet hiss slips past my lips. “Hey, hey, easy there, baby. You’re okay.
