Kathryn's Point of View
When I park my car in front of the house, I see one of the farm workers nearby, tending to the horses near the paddock fence.
I quickly walk over, Elijah and Colton's gift bags in my hand.
"Hey, Tom."
I greet him with a big smile. Tom looks at me and smiles as he continues brushing down one of the horses.
"Miss Kathryn. You’re back. How was the check-up?"
"All good. The doctor says that I'm healing nicely. Thank you, Tom. Is Elijah still out in the vineyard?"
"No, he came back maybe an hour ago. He said he had some things to take care of in his office."
"Alright. Thank you, again, Tom."
I nod my head at him before turning and making my way back towards the house.
