My gaze stays on Colton, waddling around with a little plastic shovel while I brush down a horse.
When Elijah suggested we take Colton for a horse ride this morning, I wasn't sure. I haven't been on a horse in ages and Colton haven't been around them a lot, but eventually Elijah convinced me, and I am so glad that he did. Once I settled onto the horse's back all my nerves eased, and I felt at home. Colton was a bit hesitant at first, but it wasn't long before he was buzzing with excitement in front of me in the saddle. I honestly don't know who enjoyed the ride more, me or Colton, but it was something I promised myself we would do more often.
