"Bye," she added a moment later. She turned around and went right back to what she was doing. Meanwhile, I sat down next to Miss Annie.
"Just let him be. Don't let yourself get stressed out," she told me.
How could I not be stressed? I don't want him here, and I definitely don't need him. I just want to live a peaceful life. Why did he have to follow me? If Ally follows him here, it’s just going to be a total mess. I’d be fine if it were just me, but there's an innocent child involved who could get caught in the crossfire.
Sir John walked in and gave me a faint, sympathetic smile. "It seems like he caught on, which is why he tracked us down," he said.
We all sighed. He found me. Now he can just leave and go back to where he belongs.
