It’s night. Time for bed. I cried silently as Precious kept asking about Ardent.
"I miss him already, Mommy. I don't have anyone to play with anymore."
"I'm here, sweetheart. Yanny and Mama Annie are here too."
"But I want Uncle Ardent, Mommy. Can you call him? Tell him to come back because I miss him."
"Oh, baby." I hugged her. I didn't know what to say to comfort her. I also didn't know if Ardent would ever come back, and if he did, when? I didn't want to give my child false hope. I want her to move forward, just like before she met him. I hope she'll be okay soon.
She fell asleep after crying herself tired. I cried while watching her sleep. I felt so much pity for her, for the babies in my womb, and for myself. I miss Ardent too. I didn't expect to miss him this much.
