I was hesitant to enter our hotel room. My roommates were still in bed, waiting for the person in the shower to finish. The others hadn't arrived yet. I wondered where they were. "We just got back, too," one of them said as I walked in. I don’t know why they felt the need to tell me that, but if they expected me to share stories, they were mistaken. What happens on the island stays on the island. By eight a.m., we were already outside. I had been restless all morning, worried the guy might wake up and come looking for me. Not to be presumptuous, but I remembered him saying he wanted me over and over again. I only breathed a sigh of relief once we were safely on the ferry. Finally, my mind was at ease. I smiled as I looked back at the island to say goodbye. It had been a good experience.
