Emily smiled, feeling a little self-conscious but also excited to be around Jack again. "Go ahead," she said, stepping aside to let him work. As Jack clicked away, Emily couldn't help but steal glances at him. She was struck by how much he'd changed, yet how much he remained the same. His eyes still sparkled with mischief, his hair still curled slightly at the nape of his neck. After a while, Jack handed Emily a bouquet of flowers. "For the wedding party," he said, his fingers brushing against hers. Emily felt a jolt of electricity at the touch, but she tried to play it cool. "Thanks," she said, taking the bouquet from him. As they walked towards the wedding venue, Emily couldn't help but notice the way Jack's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. She felt a flutter in her chest, and suddenly, Emily was transported back to their high school days, when she'd harbored a secret crush on Jack. The wedding ceremony was beautiful, with Sarah looking stunning in her white gown. Emily felt a lump form in her throat as she watched her friend exchange vows with her husband.
