Everything went just as planned. I picked Jackson up just after eleven and drove us to the college campus. It was pretty exciting being there for a couple reasons. The main one was that we were both underage, and since Travis had been my legal guardian for the last three years of my life it was next to impossible for either one of us to get our hands on alcohol. Every store in this part of town knew who I was, and that Jackson and I were best friends, and there was no way they were going to get caught selling to us.
