He chuckled at first. “If there’s anything I don’t do, it’s lie.” He said leaning on the threshold.
“I could say half truths or conceal the truth but I would never lie. Why would I?” he spread his arms.
I murmured inaudibly. I wasn’t sure if to ask him this, but perhaps I should and get it off my chest.
“So was my mother from this village?” I spoke.
“That, I do not know.” He replied genuinely.
“ I only know about her marriage to Alpha Ethan and her duties to the pack. I don’t know anything else before that.” He replied and I could sense honesty in his voice.
