He and Dr. Canfield had tried to talk her into leaving, but she just stared ahead, unresponsive, looking catatonic. After the attendants lifted the body, transferred it to the gurney and rolled it from the room, Mara looked at the doctor expressionlessly and said, “What will they do with her?” “We have a facility for deceased people in the basement of the repository facility.
