Chapter 91 John woke with a gasp, heart pounding, then squinted against the bright sunlight. He didn’t remember falling back asleep, but he must have. That could have only been a dream, more like his typical nightmare than the memory he’d been investigating. The last thing he could possibly handle right now was falling back into that madness.
