Chapter 44
NowA sea of brake lights brought John back to the present. He was a little surprised they were nearly in central London. He saw the tower of Big Ben not too far ahead, and the GPS was saying he’d have to take the second exit out of the next roundabout.
He was more than a little surprised to feel calmer instead of more upset.
That last fight with William, horrible as it was, had not been the beginning of whatever had been going on with him. It had been the end, at least of the fighting.
With a little awareness and the passage of almost twenty years, perhaps this time he wouldn’t have to start fighting with strangers to get himself back into balance.
