Hugh looked a question at John as he walked back into the room, but he didn’t say anything. They talked a little for the next several minutes, never getting back into the easy flow of before. John fidgeted, or as near as he ever did to it. Running his fingers through his hair, crossing his legs, then his ankles, looking from his watch to the door. Only a very few people had ever made him feel so anxious and uncomfortable.
