Chapter 19 NowBranwen dropped the stone and sank to the attic floor, sobbing. Her small hope was dying, that was part of the pain, but the bigger part was how tempting her aunt’s offer had been. She had been trying to find a way out of this without dragging John through it, maybe driving him away. What if her aunt was telling the truth?
